The ZigZag road to MP is smack in the middle of Town no walking...just buy a $15 Bus ticket (one way) and get in line Buses run every 10 minutes or so...Bus ride takes about 10 minutes with lots of turns...Nothing scary about it...more like Dull...Buses run all day...
You can buy your MP $60 Ticket in AC at the PlazaDeArmas Cultural Center ...IF YOU WANT to take a chance it wouldn't sell out...I did that twice last spring...no problem...
But there is RISK of sell out...making your trip a disaster...so check the website to see how ticket sales are trending...if there are still 1000 tickets available the day before you go up to AC...you might get a ticket in AC...Holidays are sellouts so beware...
The walk down the short trail back into town would be easier than walking up...Assuming you don't want to take the Bus down...
Note the trail back down to AC is NOT the ZigZag Road! You'll see people walking on the road occasionally...
The Trailhead is "hidden" just below MPSantuaryHotel Bus Turnaround Spot...Just ask~if you don't see it...Water and Snacks are sold there sometimes or at the regular snack bar nearby...
It takes a day to see the Town...and longer if you climb the trails to see MP from higher angle...
Do town first if time is limited as trails are very time consuming..or if you don't want to climb all day...
