If you are visiting the Golden Gate Bridge...it pays to have your plans in advance...because there is limited 'on and off' capability once you are on the Bridge Road...
So knowing where you want to go in advance...will be handy...and could produce some great photos...and prevent the need to attempt a turn around in the bridge area...which is usually a problem...
Also it costs $6 to go back to San Francisco once you cross the bridge for FREE out of SF...!! So mistakes can be costly as well as inconvenient...
