The question of where the "mountain tribes" fit into the history of Southeast Asia has always been fascinating...
Perhaps now we will get the answers...or perhaps modernity will simply destroy these fragile and ancient cultures... If we can not protect these pre-modern societies ~ preserving them may be the best hope...
