Rice Paddy...or "Rice Padi" or "Patty"...Whats the difference...?
In Malay/Indonesian...the word "padi" means "rice in the field" or "unhulled rice" in storage...When the rice is cooked its called "nasi"....So the phrase "rice padi" ...or "rice paddy"...real says "rice rice" to Indonesians and Malays...!
