It is said that Borobudur inspired Angkor Wat... Angkor Wat was about 350 years later than Borobudur and Borobudur was dedicated to Buddha...and Angkor Wat to Vishnu... Angkor was a "mountain tower" complex and Borobudur was a giant Stupa or Complex of Stupas...
But the long galleries of reliefs are similar....
