Back in Bangkok from Cambodia
Back in Bangkok today...after minivan ride from Cambodia.
Sat with an interesting Polish couple who have given up the corporate life to run a farm dedicated to sustainable agriculture...and using natural materials ... like straw bales...to construct affordable housing...
They were very gloomy on the US economy and its sustainability...with all the money printing from Washington...
Interesting conversation...sort of like something out of the film My Dinner with Andrey...
To Hong Kong soon...
Asia is a financial Black Hole sucking in the worlds money everyday...
No wonder Spain and Greece and Ireland are going bankrupt...!!

FT : Cambodia's Other Anghor Wat.
We were in Siem Reap last month. For a decent and inexpensive place to stay check out www.goldentemplevilla.com We stayed there for 3 nights. You asked what is the best way and if money is no concern then you can fly direct from Bangkok to Siem Reap. Or as you mentioned you can take a bus to the Aranyaprthet/Poipet border, cross over then take a taxi from there to Siem Reap. The taxi fare should be around $30 and takes 2 hours. If for some reason you fly Bangkok to Phnom Phen then you can take a bus to Siem Reap for $7 and it takes 6 hours.

Luxor Egypt ~ Detail
Always popular with the tourists...there are many of these carvings around the Temples. I believe it is symbolic of the dead Osiris impregnating Isis in the legend.
